NRW invites public to Pembrey Forest Resource drop-in session

Natural Resources Wales (NRW) has set up a public drop-in session to discuss their Forest Resource Plan with residents of Pembrey, Carmarthenshire.

The plans include details of forest felling and thinning as well as a range of tree species NRW will look to plant in the area to establish the woods for the future.

The woodlands in Pembrey can improve people’s wellbeing, provide recreation for local residents and combat climate change.

The drop-in session will give members of the public a chance to view these plans and to put forward their own thoughts and ideas.

Paul Dann, Local Area Manager for NRW, said:

“Looking after Wales’ woodlands is one of our biggest priorities and we know how much they mean to people.

“The Forest Resource Plan was designed to improve the woodland at Pembrey but we also want local people’s opinions so we can move forward with a plan that works for everyone.

“We’d really value any comments so please drop by for a chat and a cup of tea.”

The drop-in event will be held at Pembrey Memorial Hall on the 12 March between 2:30pm and 6:45pm.
