Cadoxton Outfall Improvements

Natural Resources Wales gives notice that it proposes to carry out improvement works to the flood defences on the River Cadoxton, Barry Docks, Vale of Glamorgan at Cadoxton Outfall, off Atlantic Crescent (NGR ST 13151 67251). The proposed improvement works at Cadoxton Outfall will involve the following: Removal of every other bar on the existing trash screen to prevent accumulation of large amounts of smaller material. Access improvements and replacement of handrailing with removable chains, to reduce the amount of manual handling involved in cleaning the screen and enable it to be cleaned safely.

Natural Resources Wales considers that the improvement works are not likely to have significant effects on the environment and does not intend to prepare an environmental statement in respect of them. The project design drawings and Environmental Action Plan are available to be viewed at the office address below by prior appointment between the hours of 09:00 and 17:00, Monday to Friday.

Any person wishing to make representations in relation to the likely environmental effects of the proposed improvement works should do so, in writing, to the address specified below, within 30 days of the date of publication of this notice.
