NOTICE OF REGULATORY DECISION

North Bristol Deep (Area 531) Aggregate Extraction

Notice is hereby given that Natural Resources Wales (“NRW”) has taken a regulatory decision under the Marine Works (Environmental Impact Assessment) Regulations 2007 as amended (“the EIA Regulations”) in respect of the above project.

In accordance with regulations 10 and of the EIA Regulations, NRW has decided to grant regulatory approval for the project subject to conditions being imposed.

A written copy of the regulatory decision is available for public inspection on NRW’s public register https://publicregister.naturalresources.wales/. You can search for the documents using the application reference number MMML1948. In light of the current public health situation surrounding coronavirus (COVID-19) a hard copy of the application and supporting documents will not be available in a public place at this time.

Copies of the regulatory decision may also be obtained by emailing permittingconsultations@naturalresourceswales.gov.uk. If printed copies are requested, a charge not exceeding reasonable copying costs may be made. 

NRW is an appropriate authority under the EIA Regulations and has been delegated functions as the appropriate licensing authority by the Welsh Ministers for the purposes of Part 4 of the Marine and Coastal Access Act 2009.
