WEEE approved authorised treatment facilities and approved exporters public register
Approved authorised treatment facilities are licensed (or registered exempt) sites carrying out treatment on waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE).
Approved authorised treatment facilities:
- can issue evidence notes to producer compliance schemes for the WEEE to be collected and treated, recycled or reused
- must also be an approved exporter to export WEEE or WEEE materials out of the UK for further treatment, recovery or recycling
- must check that any organisation they intend to use to export WEEE or WEEE materials for further treatment, recovery or recycling is an approved exporter
All approved authorised treatment facilities listed within the public register are active for twelve months from the date of approval.
