Update 17 June: Multi-agency recovery phase after the fire on Denbigh Road, Mold

Lyndsey Rawlinson from Natural Resources Wales said:

“The multi-agency recovery phase of the Synthite site continues. From this week (Monday, 17 June), there will be increased activity at the site as contaminated materials will be removed for safe disposal. This work is expected to continue for up to 28 days.

“NRW officers will continue to monitor the site and local water courses, and provide advice and guidance to minimise risk to the environment and local communities if required.

“We ask people to report any incidents or concerns about the recovery work at the site to our incident hotline on 0300 065 3000 or through our online ‘report it’ form.”
