DEE ESTUARY – Marsh protection special marks

This notice supersedes LNtoM  No 16 of 2023 which is now cancelled.

Mariners are advised a series of 19 yellow unlit special marks have been established between the Little Eye
and the West Kirby foreshore North of the Marine Lake.

These special marks formed by two lines; one offshore West Kirby (11 AtoN) and one inshore Litte Eye
Island (8 AtoN) acting as boundary lines protecting the inshore marsh areas where water sports activities
such as kite and wind surfers should be avoided.

These are now permanent special marks replacing the winter seasonal configurations that were previously
deployed.
